Our Story

Our founder grew up in Hyderabad, India, and came to the United States to study — not to start a business. But somewhere between classes and everything else life demanded, a different plan took hold: build something of his own, work hard enough that it mattered, and send some of that success back home.

He'll be the first to tell you he was never much of a bookworm. What he brought instead was people skills, relentless drive, and a stubborn belief that hard work earns both money and respect — especially with family watching from thousands of miles away. Charminar Express started as one truck and a simple bet: if the food was honest and the hustle was real, people would show up.

The menu is Hyderabadi because that's home — biryani, kebabs, chai, the flavors he grew up on, brought here without shortcuts. And as the truck grew, he didn't build it alone: he brought people from his own community into the business, growing together rather than just hiring help. It's part of why the food tastes the way it does, and why the truck feels less like a corporate stand and more like someone's kitchen on wheels.

This is still an early chapter. The goal has never been to stay small — it's to keep growing, one truck, one city, one plate at a time, while staying true to where it all started. There's more to this story still being written.
